Who We Are
Ideal Spaces is an internationally active charitable foundation based in Germany. Its work focuses on the relationship between space, place and community, and on developing ideas that can help shape better living environments for the present and the future.
The foundation looks beyond architecture alone to the social spaces in which people live together. Its work explores community, cultural memory, collective identity, democratic citizenship and the assumptions that shape both built environments and everyday life.
Ideal Spaces develops international symposia, workshops, podcasts, exhibitions and other forums for exchange. These activities bring together professionals, decision makers and the wider public in dialogue around community, space and the human conditions that support identity, belonging and communal life.
